The stay at this onsen ryokan was delightful due to its quiet atmosphere and traditional charm. The open-air bath in our room was perfect for relaxation, and the meals we enjoyed were absolutely exceptional. However, the facilities could use some updates and the hotel lacked complimentary Wi-Fi, which was a bit inconvenient.
Sasara is a cozy onsen ryokan with a quieter atmosphere compared to the larger hotels, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms have a charming Japanese style and provide nice views, especially during the winter when fireworks can be seen. The dining, particularly dinner, was outstanding, though the amenities might not be as extensive as some might hope. While the service was generally nice, the lack of complimentary internet access was a downside.

My stay at Sasara was exactly what I needed for a peaceful getaway. While the amenities were adequate, I think the overall experience was a bit pricey for what it offered, especially considering there's no complimentary Wi-Fi.
I had a delightful stay at this traditional Japanese hotel, with beautifully designed interiors featuring natural timber and artistic touches. The onsen was nice, and the automated toilet was an interesting surprise. The highlight for me was the dinner, especially the famous Hida Beef, which was absolutely delicious. However, the Wi-Fi access was not complimentary and could be improved for better value.
